NASCAR Drivers That Play Golf

Out of all the NASCAR drivers that play golf, Dale Jarrett is probably the best-known. Other NASCAR drivers that play golf are Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch, Mark Kenseth, Michael Waltrip, Kevin Lepage, Rick Crawford, Derrike Cope, Boris Said, Bobby Labonte and Rusty Wallace.

Here is what Dale Jarrett has to say when he compares golf and racing: "They're different but similar. Though golf is considered slow, you still have to concentrate and focus the whole time just like we do when we're in the car."

"The golf swing is all about speed, too, but it's speed at the proper time. More than anything, there's a similarity in how difficult the two sports are."

"In racing, it's all about track position, putting your car in the right spot on the track to take advantage of things. It's the same with golf," Sadler said. "You have to be able to position yourself on the course to get the good birdie putts you need."

There is one crucial difference.

Letting your mind wander between shots on the golf course is okay. Letting your mind wander during a stock car race is not a good idea.
